Study in Croatia!

How to apply: exchange programmes

For information on bilateral cooperation with Croatian higher education institutions, students should visit the web sites of their home universities and Ministry of Education.

Prospective students interested studying in Croatia through an exchange programme should consult the section “Scholarships”, which contains information about bilateral programmes administered by the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, about university bilateral agreements and about exchange programmes such as Erasmus+ and CEEPUS.

Prospective students should then visit the web sites of their home universities and Ministry of Education and check if they have bilateral cooperation agreements with any of Croatian higher education institutions within one of the aforementioned programmes. If such cooperation exists, the institutions in their home country will publish a competition announcement for available study programmes at Croatian higher education institutions.

Usually, the application procedure for such programmes will consist of submitting an application containing the following:

  • Application form
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Diploma
  • Grade transcript
  • Statement of purpose
  • Two references by members of the home higher education institution
  • Certificate of Croatian language proficiency (for study programmes taught in Croatian).

It is important to emphasise that the list of requested application documents will vary depending on the programme.
