Language courses in Croatia

Croatian language courses are offered at higher education institutions or in language schools.

While living in Croatia, foreign visitors can learn Croatian at a number of locations throughout the country. Courses can be offered at Croatian higher education institutions or in language schools. Below is a selection of institutions that provide such courses.

Courses at higher education institutions

 

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb

City: Zagreb
Learning Croatian as foreign language is possible in the framework of the Croaticum programme. The Centre for Croatian as Foreign and Second Language at the Department Croatian Studies runs a range of educational programmes (semester classes, one-month courses and summer schools) and conducts exams of Croatian language for non-native speakers. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split

At the Centre for Croatian Studies Abroad in Split, foreign visitors can learn Croatian (as part of a summer school or by taking one-semester courses), test their knowledge of Croatian as a foreign language and receive expert assistance for completing academic work or theses in Croatian.

University School of Croatian Language and Culture

City: Zagreb
The University School of Croatian Language and Culture is organised in collaboration between the University of Zagreb and the Croatian Heritage Foundation. It is intended for young people of Croatian origin and all other students who want to know Croatia, acquire or expand knowledge of it, or to learn and improve the Croatian language. Summer school of croatian language Zoranic's Arcady

E-learning course of Croatian as a second and foreign language at the University of Zagreb

There are additional opportunities that the Universityof Zagreb, the Croatian Heritage Foundation & the University Computing Centre offer.
